    A Brief History

F Hinds was founded by a clockmaker’s son by the name of George Henry Hinds in 1856. After the second world war, when the business remained in the family, the two brothers separated the business. One half of the business remained a jewellery business while the other half went into the film industry and became famous for making horror films. The film business still exists by the name of Hammer Film productions and has had much success. Today, F. Hinds remains in the family as an established and successful jewellery retailer.
